Kerryn Dunshea Garden Benches are hand crafted in Wellington using traditional construction methods and materials of the finest quality.

These bench designs are based upon the classic English garden furniture that I saw whilst working in the United Kingdom. Their individual details are drawn from the architectural embellishments that I’ve recorded on my recent ramblings through Auckland and Wellington. Their design is undeniably classical but they sit well in both traditional and contemporary settings, near the house or in the garden.

Each design is available in 120cm, 140cm and 160cm lengths and in any one of 12 carefully selected colours from the Resene palette. These paint colours have been chosen to complement the New Zealand landscape and sit well with the most popular exterior paint colours. Of course, I am happy to design a custom piece for you at any length in any colour. Just get in touch.

Mortise-and-tenon joints and boat building glue ensure that the framework is strong and 3 coats of water-based paint over 2 coats of primer make for a durable surface. The screws on the underside of the bench are stainless steel so they won’t rust.

Any delivery charges will be calculated and passed on to you at cost. If you live in Wellington we’ll deliver your bench and position it for you or you can collect from our workshop in Upper Hutt. Just advise your preference on the order form and we’ll work it out from there.
