Kerryn Dunshea Interior Design takes a fresh, vibrant approach to design. Her attention to every detail is just as important as understanding her client’s requirements and exceeding all expectations. Her great sense of style and elegance comes from an innate understanding of proportion and a natural instinct for colour, pattern and texture.
Past projects include:
Kerryn graduated from Victoria University, Wellington in 1999 with a Bachelor of Interior Design. Her first interior design practice, Fervour, enabled her to design interiors for some of Wellington’s most popular cafe’s, including Nui Espresso and Imbibe Antipasto, which were featured in Loop magazine and Urbis respectively.
In 2001 Kerryn moved to London and for the following 8 years she worked with highly regarded British interior designer, Victoria Fairfax on a number of high profile and international projects. Exposed to a rich and varied world of design and creativity, Kerryn was captivated by classical detailing and proportion, design and manufacturing processes and beautiful materials and their infinite possibilities. She learnt new skills and techniques from Victoria Fairfax as well as some of the world’s leading artisans and craftsmen. It was in England and France that Kerryn’s passion for antiques and objet d’art – and the mingling of the two in a contemporary context – was ignited.
In 2009 Kerryn and her husband, Craig returned to New Zealand to have their first child, Isla. Unable to sit still for too long, Kerryn has been busy building up and expanding her network of local suppliers, craftsmen and tradesmen to complement her global portfolio
Kerryn has brought her passion and enthusiasm for design, and international experience home.
If you value an open and easy manner as much as incomparable style you will enjoy working with Kerryn Dunshea Interior Design.
